Are you looking to change the way you think about your life, work, and your abilities?
I have great news for you!
Today I will tell you about three amazing books that make you stronger as a person, and help you to shape your life in a positive way.
Read on to learn which books are worth reading if you are suffering from negative thinking, lack of motivation, or work burnout.
How I Chose Which Books To Recommend
I‘ll be honest here – if I didn‘t get my hands on these several years ago, I would still be that depressed, grumpy lady I was in my early twenties.
These books taught me something so valuable that I felt like I grew as a person in just a few days which is simply amazing.
In fact, there’s a whole story around these books + why and how they helped me so much.
You see, I’m a little pessimistic person, to begin with.
It doesn‘t mean I only look at the negative things all the time.
But anxiety and a little gloomier outlook on life have always been inside me.
It’s not that bad now since I learned to flow with it but I don’t think anyone can be completely cured of anxiety
See?
I told you I’m a little pessimistic.
(Or maybe just realistic?)
I used to think that my life should be perfect, with no problems at all (it’s crazy, I know!).
Me being an introvert, allergic to conflicts and drama also added a lot to this unhealthy mindset.
So when something bad happened (a problem, a conflict, an unfortunate event), I always felt like the perfect world in my head got shattered in pieces.
Needless to say, it really lowered my self-esteem and interfered with my ability to… Go forward.
On the worst days, I would feel completely lost.Â
I had absolutely no interest in everyday life.
I battled negative thoughts.
The work looked scary.
The people I met looked „fake” and selfish.
The future just looked like a dark forest on the longest night of the year!
Things changed when I understood that I must stop being a victim.
Many people fall into the trap of blaming everyone and everything else, but not themselves.
And I was one of them.
Worst of all – being a victim is easy and comfortable since you never force yourself to change anything.
So even though my life looked like a monochromatic movie, I finally understood that I‘m the only one who can paint it with colors. It’s not my environment, not circumstances or other people – only me.
Since I was mentally exhausted, I was incapable of doing it on my own.
I didn‘t want to go to therapy at the time so I decided to look for books that could give me that oh-so-needed motivation.
These are the three books that gave me the most value.
The Best Book To Read If You Feel Anxious, Worried, Or Depressed
Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy by David. M. Burns, M.D.
If anyone ever asked me what‘s the single best book I could recommend, it would be this particular book.
Let me remind you that by the time I got my hands on it, I was very pessimistic.
You can imagine how skeptical I was of this book too!
But it made me feel better almost immediately.
In fact, it was so liberating that I finished the book in two days feeling like I have reached some kind of nirvana.
You may think „Okay, so this must be one of those brain wash books“.
It‘s quite the opposite.
- This book teaches you to recognize incorrect thoughts that are going on auto-repeat in your head.
Sometimes even for years!
- After you recognize these distorted thoughts, you learn to analyze them with simple writing methods.
It may be harder at first because, well, you have to face your fears and insecurities!
But after a little practice, you start doing it automatically in your head.
- The result?
You feel relieved, happier, and motivated almost instantly.
Bad thoughts start to visit less often.
I don‘t want to spoil it for you so if you feel stuck, anxious, or unhappy, this book will change it for sure!

The Best Book To Read If You Feel Unmotivated And Vulnerable
Awaken The Giant Within by Tony Robbins
If you haven‘t heard about Tony Robins yet, he is the guy who helped millions to achieve that inspiring “from zero to hero” result.
This book helps those who:
- feel stuck in their own misery;
- think that life will never be enjoyable again;
- think that it’s too late to change it etc.
Entrepreneurs, career workers, and at-home moms – you name it – have changed their lives with simple and down-to-earth tips.
This book emphasizes that everyone has a huge potential inside.
But your negative thinking and constant self-roast are doing great work of extinguishing it.
Reading this book will teach you to eliminate your boundaries and stop feeling numb.
You might implement a new, bold, brave character.
This is why it’s called “Awaken the giant within”.
There will be times when you’ll feel low again (and that’s normal), but you’ll always remember what you’ve read.
The knowledge from this book will put you back on track faster.

The Best Book To Read If You Feel Burnt Out As An Entrepreneur
The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferris
Another bestseller, perfect for those who struggle with too much entrepreneurial work.
You can read it in one day since it’s not as long as the first two, but you get a lot of useful information.
Tim Ferris is an effective guy who will teach you to simplify, automate and optimize your work so you spend a minimum of time working.
As a result, you can have more free time and can actually start living.
I’ll be honest – some parts looked a little offensive to me at first.
“Working 4 hours a week?
Still, getting things done? that’s BS!” – I thought.
But after reading the whole book it was clear to me that you can work less and earn the same or more.
It all depends on where you put your energy to.
Also, how automated things are.
It’s like a factory – if you put machines on the lines, you don’t have to stand near the lines yourself.

Books That Make You Stronger: Best Order To Read
If you are looking for ways to become a stronger person, read these books in this particular order:
Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy will help you to fix negative thinking and develop brand new thinking patterns.
You will start to feel less burdened and happier.
Awaken The Giant Within will make you completely psyched (in the best possible way) so you can start acting.
You will be planning, developing new habits, and kicking the bad ones.
One of the best tips I’ve read in this book is “If you want to be successful in a particular thing, find your role model and do what he or she did to achieve that”.
It’s like IKEA furniture – looks complex at first, but if you follow the instructions carefully, you will build it.
So if Tony Robbins is a very successful guy AND he is telling you how he did this then you have the instructions.
All you have to do is follow them and build that furniture – the giant inside of you.
The 4-Hour Workweek will teach you to think outside the box and find ways to work smarter, not harder.
We aren’t put on this planet to work – we need to live.
This book will show you how to start living instead of existing.
That’s it!
I hope you will try these books and benefit from them as well.
