Most of us busy, working, studying, children-growing or freelancing women are so overworked today that this question can feel sweeping off your feet.

If you want to enjoy life as it is, learn to go through it with a smile, not a frown. If you’re not used to it, it might feel weird to smile through bad days, but there are a lot of people who have learned it and they simply thrive!
3. Stop giving in to negative thoughts.
You can’t really enjoy life if you’re in a constant battle inside your head. God, it’s really hard! Don’t waste your time on it, save your energy! Your life is moving forward, are you really that into negative self talk? Leave it to the past, and take a step forward by being your own support, not an enemy.

4. Wake up and go to sleep with HOPE.

Or your favorite meal! Diet, healthy eating – all of it is great, but the food is one of the best parts of our living. Eating that dessert once in a while will not sabotage your diet goals, but it can help you to enjoy life more. So don’t be afraid of those extra 400 calories on Sunday!
26. Make peace with yourself.
This one is deeper, but you probably knew this was going to be on a list. Because honestly, this might be a reason why you are reading this list in the first place. Ah, the joy of gift-giving! One of the easiest, prettiest, and most fun ways to enjoy life is to create joy for others. Giving gifts is absolutely the easiest way to do that! Plus, it’s really satisfying to see how a small but thoughtful gift brightens someone’s face.
29. Take a break when you feel you need it.
It’s impossible to enjoy life when you’re completely physically, or mentally exhausted. When you’re tired, you need to rest. There’s no other way around. A few extra cups of coffee won’t recharge you effectively – only a real, well-planned, and fully enjoyed (!) rest can do that.
30. Create a joyful ritual and practice it every day.
Your personal ritual can help you to learn to enjoy life more, day by day. Let’s admit that a mindset change is not an overnight thing. You need to work on it. A personal joy ritual can be as simple as reading this list before sleep or sitting in the sunshine for 10 minutes in the morning. You don’t really need much for that. I know I said that money doesn’t buy happiness, but it can buy you more joyful experiences. And it’s not even about spending a lot – regularly allowing to pamper yourself (by getting something nice) is just healthy.
Don’t deprive yourself too much, ever. Even if you’re on a budget, choose something inexpensive, but allow yourself a moment of small joy at least once a month.

Not just sometimes – always. And I’m not telling you to be selfish or to forget people that rely on you. I want you to know that if you want to take care of others, you have to take care of yourself first. Otherwise, you’re just trying to run from an empty cup.

The joy of discovery is one of the best things a human can experience. You can always boost your happiness by making effort to see, taste, hear, or try more new things. It works absolute wonders on our mindset and, in my personal experience, it’s also one of the most effective ways to beat depression.

“He didn’t call back, so it means he didn’t like me”. Really? What about “he didn’t have time”, “he felt too shy”, “he is still going to” and a myriad of other, positive and still viable options? To fully enjoy life, you have to stop allowing your mind to suffer. Not all things have a bad ending, not everything that goes wrong is your fault, and not every bad thought will come true.
35. Stop trying to be perfect.
This is the most important thing of them all. To enjoy life as it is, to live in harmony, balance, and peace, simply let go of a perfectionist mindset. Remind yourself that you will never be perfect. Neither will I, or anyone in the world. Perfect doesn’t exist. You are good enough and while there’s nothing wrong with wanting to do better, you’re whole and complete now, just as you are. You are wonderful!
